CON Laws Investigation
The blatantly anti-competitive Certificate of Need laws exist in 35 states to squelch affordable health care options, and yet few Americans are aware of these laws. Most of the United States are shutting down health care options for our people by refusing to issue permits for competitive, new, holistic, or noninvasive businesses. This limits health care options for individuals and and entrenches monopolies.
This is but one small part of larger pharmaceutical and corporate monopolies that are destroying American life, democracy, and the concept of a free market system relative to our greatest assets – our bodies. The medical industry simply has too much power and the CON laws insulate established hospitals and other businesses from competition while denying Americans health care options. We must fight to have the CON laws repealed or declared unconstitutional if we are ever to create a more balanced playing field and more natural and affordable health care options. We plan to bring awareness to these anti-American laws and to shut them down in favor of fair competition.
